Deal MP supports Landmark Job Club

It was a pleasure to visit the Landmark Centre's Job Club today to meet customers and congratulate staff on their success in helping local jobless people get back into work.

The Job club provides a crucial service that would otherwise not be available in Deal. This is a key facility to help people who are jobless get back into the workplace. The volunteers and staff do an amazing job. I would urge anyone who is struggling to get work to drop in and take advantage of the friendly and useful advice that is on offer.

The Job Club is a community run service manned by volunteers who provide advice, help and support to anyone seeking work. They also provide help writing a CV and assistance whilst preparing for job interviews. A fee of just £1 is charged per session.

The Job Club meets every Monday afternoon, excluding bank holidays, between 1.30-3.30pm in the Landmark Centre, High Street, Deal, on a drop in basis so no appointment is necessary and all are welcome.

I'm pictured here with volunteers and customers of the Landmark Centre's Job Club.
From L to R: Chitra Swami, Volunteer Coordinator; me; Brian Town, CCESP customer; Paula Moorhouse, Cleary Club Project Manager; Samantha George, Cleary Club Project Assistant; Ashley Smith, Volunteer Coordinator; Julie Cooper, CCESP customer.
