It was a great privilege to attend the awards ceremony for students at St Edmund's Catholic School. The picture is of Tom Spare winning the Geography shield with head teacher Chris Atkin.
I had to battle through a snow blizzard to get to the school, but it was more than worth the effort! It was a fun evening presenting each student with certificates and special awards. Head Chris Atkin has done a great job, runs a fantastic school and it was amazing to see how much talent there is in our young people.
I told students never to forget their school years. They were the best of years and they'd look back at them in the years to come. Also that it is important for them to leave a better legacy for their children's generation and help to make things better, not just locally or nationally, but internationally.
